Review – Foo Fighters Fought for Rock ‘N’ Roll at Denver’s Pepsi Center

To anyone one who has considered rock music let them know that Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters say otherwise. As if fighting a crusade against any such notion, The Foo Fighters burst into the Pepsi Center Wednesday night to show amongst other things, that rock ‘n’ roll never dies. The 2 1/2-hour performance, an onslaught of thrashing guitars, rapturous drumming and twisting basslines covering the expanse of this Foo Fighters 26-year career, was a tour de force — a rock ‘n’ roster master course from a number of the finest to actually do it. Through the predator and headbanging increasing, the Foo Fighters gave Denver an hell of a night.

Chosen to start the leg of this “Concrete and Gold Tour,” because it was dubbed, climbing rock stars Gang of Youths threw down the gauntlet in the get-go. Apparent footprints of this Foo Fighters lineage, Gang of Youths left no compromise on their own rock conquest. The Australian indie-rock band emerged from the gates going with confidence and a ferocious power that comes with realizing ones’ gift and having fun along with it. Breaking guitar strings hammering down thumping upon their ribcages with youthful abandon, the group took on the arena stage with pride. In the event the Foo Fighters’ mission was supposed to demonstrate that rock ‘n’ roster never dies, Gang of Youths’ would be to breathe fresh life and then show that rock ‘n’ roster never left.

Adhering to the set changeover, Foo Fighters wasted time increasing the ante and cutting to the chase — promptly starting into “Run. ” From the jump, and no shortage of “motherfucker” added for flavor, Dave Grohl advised the viewer to the show and then saddle we did. For the most part, the group worked backward in rsquo & 2017;s Concrete and Gold into rsquo & 1995;s self-titled campaign picking a minumum of one song from each album like cultivating a best hits compilation. The band, in top form, blazed throughout the career-spanning highlights like 26 decades rsquo & hadn;t even handed. Grohl, running around this time, paced the stage supporting the viewer to give him while creating the band jump through hoops at his command.

Drummer Taylor Hawkins keeping up effortlessly, showed being among the best drummers of all time, even going so far as to ascend on lifts. The group didn’t skimp on interpolating their livelihood timeline with mega-hits like “The Pretender” and “Learn To Fly” making sure even the most casual of fans left happy. At which material and swagger was the name of the game — without the assistance of graphics and pyrotechnics, the functionality was, finally, rock at its most populous.

Prior to their encore, the group laid into an abbreviated variant of ldquo;Best of You. ” The song, a closing fixture in their setlist shut their functionality much greater than any n’ roster could ever do. From the haze of the Pepsi Center, tens-of-thousands of voices yelling the lyrics was rock ‘n’ roster at its greatest.  The catharsis, the feeling from the arena and the power from the band lingered in the crowd consumed the distance. Concerning saving rock music, Foo Fighters are all heroes however they were extraordinary.
