Raptors’ playoff success cancels Twenty One Pilots show. Same thing happened with Nuggets and WWE in 2009.

Sorry, Twenty One Pilots fans in Toronto, due to those Raptors advancing to the NBA Finals, the group needed to cancel nighttime among its shows in the Scotiabank Arena.

If it seems familiar, exactly the identical thing happened to World Wrestling Entertainment fans in Denver when the Nuggets reached the Western Conference finals against the Lakers at 2009. With Game 4 set May 25, it forced WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon to move “Monday Night Raw” out of this Pepsi Center.

The WWE found a replacement website, heading to the Staples Center in Los Angeles. But McMahon didn’t leave it all there. On the episode, he looked on camera and ridiculed a fake Stan Kroenke — that the Nuggets’ owner — in a skit.

The major event of “Raw” has been a five-on-five elimination tag team match pitting a group of guys in Lakers gear against guys wearing Nuggets apparel. The John Cena-led “Lakers” won the game .
