Guitarist and songwriter Peter Frampton’s announcement of a brand new double-album — his first release in three years — and a tour during the last few days was coupled with a shocking show about his previously unknown degenerative muscle disease, known as inclusion body myositis. The Pepsi Center is turning into a home of hard rock on Aug. 25 with the co-headlining invoice of Korn and Alice in Chains — the former a child of the latter’s pioneering blend of melodic vocals, heavy guitars and bottomless angst.
