Jake Paul Vs. Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul has become one of the most anticipated boxing events ever. Set for an August 20 fight at Texas’ 80,000-capacity AT&T Stadium, many expect it will be watched live by millions around the globe via Netflix streaming service.

Tyson retired from boxing in 2005 but returned four years ago for an exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr. This has caused much debate within both sports and entertainment communities, as the prospect of “Iron” Mike facing someone 30 years younger has caused considerable debate.

Even with a huge age difference between Paul and Tyson, their fight has stirred excitement among fans. Lennox Lewis, boxing’s last undisputed heavyweight champion, added fuel to the fire by posting a shocking simulation showing how Tyson would likely knockout Paul.

Paul, 27, remains unbeaten as a professional fighter and has made his mark through participating in crossover events against both MMA fighters and former boxers with established records. Most recently he earned a first round TKO victory against Ryan Bourland who boasts a 9-1 record and ranks No. 14 worldwide for his division.

Before his professional debut, Paul established himself as a social media influencer by posting videos to YouTube where he amassed over 15 million subscribers. Paul then competed against fellow YouTuber Deji Olatunji in an exhibition fight and claimed victory via fifth round TKO win. Finally in 2020 he made the transition into professional ranks, taking on AnEsonGib of English YouTuber fame and winning by first round TKO win in paid contest.

Since then, he has earned two more victories against veteran MMA competitors Nate Diaz and Ben Askren before defeating 10-pound heavier Ryan Bourland via first round TKO victory. According to him, his goal was to move up in rankings and fight more’real boxers’.

Tyson holds an astounding 50-6-1 career record and is widely considered to be one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. At his peak, he was nearly unbeatable and would likely knockout Paul without difficulty.

But, after agreeing not to wear headgear for their fight, and insisting it be sanctioned as a professional contest, which may lend it more credibility. Furthermore, having this match streamed globally without paywall may add even greater intrigue as an unprecedented event on Netflix’s global platform. Millions of viewers may tune in during its broadcast.
