Would Colorado’s own Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone be Conor McGregor’s next UFC opponent?

After Cerrone defeated Alexander Hernandez with a head kick that led to technical knockout in their lightweight bout at Saturday’s UFC Fight Night, McGregor took on Twitter to get a quick statement: “For a fight like that Donald, I’ll fight you. Congratulations. ”

“If these guys want that and fans want to see it, that’so what I do, then ” UFC president Dana White stated from the post-fight media conference.

Not everyone is happy about McGregor’s remark. Lightweight contender Al Iaquinta reacted on Twitter stating, “If Conor doesn’t even have to struggle (Tony) Ferguson, Dustin (Poirier), myself OR (Kevin) Lee second that he ’s an absolute Nancy… smart guy. . but Nancy. ”
