Dan + Shay have stalled their 2020 arena spring trip amid concerns within the coronavirus. The country duo started the blackout on March 6 in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for two shows that were sold-out. They ’ve pushed back the tour to July.
Purchased tickets will be honored in each of the dates. Dan + Shay’s statement to enthusiasts is below.
Well, here we are. March 12, 2020 parked outside Wells Fargo Center, building a statement we never thought rsquo;d & we have to make. After the mandatory postponement of the Philadelphia series, and lots of others in the coming weeks, we’ve made the collective decision (with our team and health officials) to postpone the spring leg of THE (ARENA) TOUR. These displays mean the world to us, and it was significant that they be postponed rather than canceled, but over the displays, our fans mean the world to people, and also protecting their security is the number one priority. We want the displays to be unforgettable, rather than seasoned with fear.
Thank you for understanding and your patience. It is a strange, strange time for each of us, but we believed this was the perfect thing to do. Purchased tickets will be honored in all dates. The news comes following the duo revealed they’d be devoting their Stagecoach performance due to a tour battle following the festival was rescheduled to October from the April dates as a result of coronavirus.
Yesterday (March 11), the Houston Rodeo was also canceled. Also, the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival in Nashville, has been postponed until after this year and South Southwest in Austin was canceled outright because of coronavirus.
