Billy Joel & Rod Stewart to Perform at Browns Stadium on Friday, Sept. 13

These two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will perform some of their greatest hits from throughout their storied careers at Browns Stadium on Friday, Sept 13th for one-night-only concert event. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Feb. 2, and are expected to sell quickly. Greg Harris, Chief Executive of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, spoke about the significance of Joel and Stewart performing together live for the first time ever in concert, calling it an historic event that is sure to create ripple effects in both cities economies while drawing in thousands of music lovers.

Billy Joel is an esteemed singer-songwriter and pianist renowned for selling over 150 million records worldwide. Hailed as a cultural icon, Billy was honored with The Kennedy Center Honors and Grammy Legend Award as well as induction into Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Additionally he received multiple industry awards such as receiving Tony nomination for Movin’ Out (based on his music in Broadway musical). Additionally a variety of vinyl box sets featuring Billy’s catalog have also been released to commemorate their legacy.

The Piano Man has held down residency shows at Madison Square Garden for an extended period, performing alongside fellow classic rock artists such as Elton John and Stevie Nicks. Notable guests at these MSG performances include Mick Jones from Foreigner and Lou Gramm from Heartbreakers Benmont Tench for special versions of “The Joker”.

Rod Stewart is one of the best-selling artists of all time, having sold over 250 million albums and singles worldwide. He was twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, won six Grammy Awards, was knighted by Queen Elizabeth for his contributions to British culture in 2016; and has recently released Swing Fever featuring Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra collaboration on an album track.

Joel and Stewart have each performed at various concerts in Cleveland in the past, but this will be their inaugural joint show here! Additionally, special guests have been announced who will add to the excitement and atmosphere at this memorable event at Browns Stadium on September 13!
