Avalanche keeping MacKinnon, Landeskog and Rantanen’s line broken up vs. Winnipeg

The Avalanche’s lines at Wednesday night’s match against the Winnipeg Jets will again look like trainer Jared Bednar drew names from a hat. There is a method to his madness, nonetheless, and Bednar would like to stick to what helped deliver a 3-0 success over the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday.

Scorers Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen along with Gabe Landeskog — who comprised the best line in baseball — will again play on separate lines in even strength. MacKinnon will center Alex Kerfoot and Sven Andrighetto; Rantanen is the Perfect winger with center Carl Soderberg along with Matt Nieto; Landeskog is your wing with center Tyson Jost along with Matt Calvert.

The fourth line consists of center Andrew Agozzino and also wingers J.T. Compher and A.J. Greer.

Footnotes. Semyon Varlamov will make his eighth consecutive start in goal for the Avs, also play time in 17 games. … Forward Colin Wilson will miss his fifth game. He skated at a red non-contact injury Wednesday morning, like defenseman Conor Timmins (mind ). Defenseman Ian Cole (orbital bone) remains out indefinitely. The Avs’ scratches that are healthful are forwards Gabriel Bourque along with defenseman Mark Barberio.
