The Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show will be a star-studded affair when it happens on Feb. 13, 2022: Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar are set to perform at the event in SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. The show, put together in partnership with the NFL, Pepsi and Roc Nation, will be, unsurprisingly, the first time that all five superstars grace the stage together.
It will also be the first time that the Super Bowl will take place in Los Angeles in 30 years, being housed in the newly-built stadium that is home to both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. The show will air on NBC.

“The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career,” Dre said in a statement. “I’m grateful to JAY-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment.”
Dre is the connective tissue between each of the artists, having famously produced several songs and albums by each of the other four performers; Dre produced the entirety of Snoop’s debut album Doggystyle, while Eminem and Lamar spent large parts of their careers signed to Dre’s Aftermath Records and each of the four artists has appeared on Dr. Dre’s albums through the years.
In addition to the performance, the NFL and Pepsi are helping with the launch of the magnet high school Regional School #1 in South Los Angeles, which will open next school year as part of the L.A. Unified School District and is based on Dre and longtime Interscope Records and Apple Music executive Jimmy Iovine’s USC Iovine and Young Academy. The NFL and Pepsi will work with the school and the local community on partnerships and internships, which L.A. Unified interim superintendent Megan K. Reilly said in a statement “will help develop and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.”

“This year we are blowing the roof off the concept of collaboration,” PepsiCo senior vp media, sports and entertainment Adam Harter said in a statement. “Along with the NFL and Roc Nation, we continue to try and push the limits on what fans can expect during the most exciting 12 minutes in music; this year’s superstar line-up is sure to deliver a mind-blowing performance.”
This event is the third year that Roc Nation, Pepsi and the NFL have collaborated on the Halftime Show, which will be produced by DPS, executive produced by Roc Nation and Jesse Collins and directed by Hamish Hamilton. The first year of the partnership produced a show with Shakira and Jennifer Lopez as headliners; last year, The Weeknd took the stage solo.
“On Feb. 13, 2022, at the Super Bowl LVI in Inglewood, CA, in the new SoFi Stadium, Dr. Dre, a musical visionary from Compton, Snoop Dogg, an icon from Long Beach and Kendrick Lamar, a young musical pioneer in his own right, also from Compton, will take center field for a performance of a lifetime,” JAY-Z said in a statement. “They will be joined by the lyrical genius, Eminem and the timeless Queen, Mary J. Blige. This is the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show. This is history in the making.”
