Céline Dion‘s heart will go on, however, two of her upcoming Courage World Tour concerts will not.
At a social networking article on Tuesday, the Grammy-winning singer’s team declared that Dion had come down with a common cold, directing her to postpone the Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania dates of her Courage World Tour.
“I’m sorry for disappointing my lovers in Washington D.C. and Pittsburgh,” Dion said in a statement. “I trust everyone understands. ”
According to the article, Dion started feeling symptoms on Monday night, after finishing a six-show run in the New York area. “The symptoms persisted into Tuesday, and her physicians instructed her to break for another 5-7 weeks,&rdquo.
As for fears about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Dion’s team claims “physicians concluded her virus was not related to COVID-19. ”
Dion, 51, was scheduled to perform in the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, also in the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on Friday. These dates will be rescheduled for Nov. 16 and Nov. 18, respectively.
Ticketholders of the postponed performances are being asked to maintain their tickets to use for the rescheduled dates.
Regular performances on the Courage World Tour are anticipated to restart on March 24, in the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.

The Courage World Tour is now Dion&rsquofirst concert tour in over a decade.
“It’s time for a shift; moment to hit on the street ,” Dion said last April, during a Facebook Live occasion. “So many folks came to us, however, today we really think it&rsquo time for people to really go and see them. So I am extremely excited to do the world tour. ”
Her tour coincided with the launch of her twelfth English-language studio album, Courage. The LP, debuted atop the US Billboard 200 in November, getting Dion’s first number-one album there in 17 decades and spawning the singles “Flying in My Own,” “Imperfections,” “Lying Down,” & & ldquo;Courage,” “Soul” and “Change My Mind. ”
“We all go we all do,” Dion explained of this record ’s name. “Whether it’s losing somebody, if it’s sickness, something which we must fight, something which life imposes on us. And I went through a lot. Life had given me the tools — my family, the way which I grew up, the way that I was raised, the way we were raised in my household — to discover my strength. Dion dove deep into find her inner courage in 2016 after the death of her husband, René Angélil, who passed away at age 73 after a years-long battle with cancer. Days later, the celebrity ’s brother.
