You can now order a vinyl record as your dessert from a Denver bar using Uber Eats

Trying to impress your date? Why not purchase a Wu-Tang Clan vinyl to go along with your supper?

Monkey Barrela Sunnyside pub aimed toward Gen X nostalgia, partnered with Uber Eats for a date-night special where consumers can purchase lunch or dinner with a record and dessert onto the side. (You might also bypass the meals altogether and just get the record. You do you) The service started Wednesday.

“We& & rsquo;ve been attempting to determine how to accommodate to individuals ’s altering behaviors.  I’m not the only restaurateur with this issue,” Monkey Barrel owner Jimmy Nigg said.  ”I’m sitting behind the pub scratching my head trying to determine why people don’t even need people in past 7 o’clock frequently anymore. ”

The same is true for lunch. Nigg stated to-go providers have changed how people eat and purchase food. He ’so hoping to fulfill them where they’re .

Monkey Barrel has seen a market in the most popular, hosting brunches like the Wu-Tang and Waffles and Motown and Mimosas, putting up Kurt Cobain and Beastie Boys posters, and decking tables out with Nintendo 64s to play Mario Kart. So selling LPs with their food proved to be a natural match, Nigg said.

Right now there are four documents accessible (Don’t stress, they come in a protective sleeve): Wu-Tang Clan’s “Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)” ($35), Bassnectar’s “Vava Voom” ($35), Jimmy Hendrix’s “Axis Bold as Love” ($32) and Linkin Park’s “Hybrid Theory” ($30).  The dessert is a chocolate cake, Nigg said.

Monkey Barrel partnered with Ryan Dykstra, that sets up vintage vinyl boutiques in retail stores throughout Colorado, to choose the records. As time goes on, Monkey Barrel will likely soon want to enlarge its record and dessert supplies, as well as looking into other nostalgia-based items like video games, Nigg said.
