Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell had the third-highest scoring performance in NBA playoff history Monday, dropping 57 points from the Nuggets. Fortunately for Denver, Jamal Murray and his 36 points — including 10 in overtime — led the Nuggets to a 135-125 win in their show opener. With Murray’s game, he landed just about the Nuggets’ top 10 in points in an NBA playoff game.

In the light of those performances that are Huge, here’take a peek at the Nuggets’ NBA playoff history:

1. Nikola Jokic, 43 points vs. Spurs, April 25, 2019

You overlook ’t have to go too far back to see that ’s at No. 1. Big Honey poured in, that which was at the moment, a career high 43 points in San Antonio at a 120-103 reduction to the Spurs at Game 6 of their first round. Jokic, who shot 63% from the field, also led the Nuggets with eight assists and 12 rebounds.

2T. Alex English, 42 points vs. Suns, April 24, 1983

Denver’s scorer shot on 16 of 27 in the field to lead his team to some overtime win over the Suns in Phoenix to acquire the show in the first round of the playoffs. English also added four assists and 3 blocks .

2T. Alex English, 42 points vs. Rockets, May 8, 1986

English tied his franchise playoff mark using Denver on the verge of elimination in Game 6 against Houston. Despite his effort, the Nuggets fell in double overtime at McNichols Arena.

2T. Carmelo Anthony, 42 points vs. Jazz, April 17, 2010

The last time the Nuggets and the Jazz fulfilled in drama, Paul Millsap was at a Utah jersey and the Nuggets were headed by Chauncey Billups and Anthony. Back in Game 1 of the first-round show, Anthony took 72% in the field (18 of 25) and added four rebounds and five assists, leading Denver to some 126-113 win in Pepsi Center. This was the highest scoring NBA playoff match to get a Nuggets player in his house stadium. Fun fact: This was the day Ubaldo Jimenez chucked a no-hitter to its Rockies, the first in history.

5T. David Thompson, 40 points vs. Trail Blazers, April 24, 1977

Back in Denver’s first year in the NBA, the star guard shot 55 percent from the field (16 of 29) and was a perfect 8 for 8 from the charity stripe. However, the Nuggets lost, 110-106, in Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Ore..

5T. Calvin Natt, 40 points vs. Trail Blazers, April 18, 1986

Natt was one of three Denver gamers to score a minimum of 20 points from Portland. He shot 71.4percent from the field (15 of 21) and hauled down 10 rebounds at the 133-126 success at McNichols Arena to start the brand new series.

7T. Alex English, 39 points vs. Spurs, April 29, 1983

Five days later putting the franchise playoff mark with 42 points against the Suns, English led the Nuggets from George Gervin and the Spurs. The match went to overtime, but Denver dropped, 127-126, also fell.

7T. Carmelo Anthony, 39 points vs. Lakers, May 19, 2009

Melo came out with guns blazing in the Nuggets’ first Western Conference Finals appearance in over two decades. Anthony shot 70% from the field (14 for 20) and hauled down four 3-pointers, but Los Angeles prevailed to eek a 105-103 victory.

9. David Thompson, 37 points vs. Bucks, May 3, 1978

Skywalker also added six rebounds and six assists to lift the Nuggets over the Bucks, 116-110, in Game 7 to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

10T. Alex English (April 30, 1989 vs. Phoenix), Dan Issel (April 22, 1977 vs. Portland), Jamal Murray (Aug. 17, 2020 vs. Utah)
