Philadelphia sports radio director starts petition to ban professional sports in Denver due to elevation

Weekly removed by the Philadelphia 76ers’ second-half fall in a 100-97 loss to the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center in Denver, a Philadelphia sports radio director is currently taking action.

Spike Eskin of all WIP radio, that suggested Denver teams shouldn’t be allowed to own home games due to the city’s elevation during a Twitter rant past Friday, has begun a request on change.org to do that.

Titled “Ban Professional Sports In Denver,” the request states that Denver’s mile-high elevation “generates an advantage for the household. ”

“As has been public knowledge for a long time, athletes that travel to Denver that do not have the amount of time for their bodies to adjust, have difficulty when performing breathing. A person in the cold weather climate participating in weather that is hot, that’s tough. A person from sea level competing in Denver, which ’s adulterous reads. “We suggest that all professional sports move groups from Denver, therefore we could have honest outcomes for your sports we care a lot about. ”

Should you’re worried Mr. Eskin might be starting a movement, know this: As of 2:41 p.m. MST, the request was signed by 121 people.

And just so you understand , there’s no malice here, either.

“We mean no offense to the people of Denver, that deserve happiness reads. “But fair is fair. ”

In response, Denverite employees have established a request to increase Denver’therefore stadiums 1,000 ft .
