Oysterhead, the jam-band supergroup of guitarist Trey Anastasio (Phish), bassist Les Claypool (Primus) and drummer Stewart Copeland (The Police), will return for a pair of shows from Broomfield early next year.
The band announced the Feb. 14-15 concerts at the FirstBank Center on Tuesday as part of its Freestyle Sessions Gathering. More dates have to come shortly, jambands.com reported, given that the group also established its first-ever Instagram and Twitter presence today.
The band only has one album — 2007’s & “The Grand Pecking Order” — and last performed live at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival at 2006 at Manchester, Tenn..
Tickets to the all-ages places are on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 via ticketmaster.com by visiting the Pepsi Center and also Dick’s Sporting Goods Park box offices the next business day (Monday, Oct. 21), pending availability.
Tickets are $80 eachyear. A notice on ticketmaster.com adds the disclaimer, “Delivery delay in place until Nov. 4, 2019. ”
Anticipate tickets to go fast, both because Colorado has been a hot-bed of all jam-band culture and as an informal survey of online chatter reveals a great deal of potential out-of-state visitors coming in for this one.

A “ticket petition ” period has launched at oysterhead.shop.ticketstoday.com and lasts through 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17. Two-night travel packs for $1,059 and $759 are on sale at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
