Anthony Davis wants out of New Orleans. If the Nuggets deal and wheel and attempt to produce a run in the former No. 1 overall pick? That was one topic of conversation this week in the Lunch Special chat. Listed below are columnist Mark Kiszla’so answers on Davis, Michael Porter Jr., and what the Nuggets must do in the trade deadline.
I find Anthony Davis wants out of New Orleans. Can Denver make sense?
Kiszla: Shocker. Anthony Davis wants out of New Orleans. Did LeBron James know all those weeks? Like I said (along with my voice dripping in sarcasm): Shocker! The Brow says that he wishes to attend a team with NBA championship potential. Again: Shocker! However, the Nuggets, as a team on a rapid rise, match Davis’ prerequisite. Here’s what doesn’t match: The spacing on the ground. I believe Nikola Jokic could work with anyone. I believe The Brow would adore the Joker to drop dimes . However, Denver seems like an extremely unlikely destination for Davis. My first guesses because of his landing place are the usual suspects: Lakers and Celtics.
How busy do you believe the Nuggets will be in the trade deadline?
Kiszla: It’s an interesting question. However, I believe the prudent thing to do would be to stay pat. OK, believe the Pelicans would exchange Anthony Davis for Paul Millsap and two draft choices? I’d love that. But. It. Ain’t. Gonna. Happen. On a more critical note, I think this Nuggets roster should learn some lessons in the playoffs and what’s revealed under postseason pressure will help office decide what to do through agency through the summertime.
I attempted to inform y'all Paul Millsap was not worth anywhere near $30 million each. Only ones arguing that he was/is are hanging on to ridiculous pride.

What is the status of Michael Porter? This year, will he play? I see that he simply has a contract. Do the Nuggets have some team selections for next year. Will he be re-signed?
Kiszla: Michael Porter Jr. was seen in the Pepsi Center, hoisting jumpers. And the dude could take. At 6-foot-10, he s lean. He also s listed at 210 lbs. Seems to be generous. His shooting range suggests there might be some stretch 4 in his future, with 3-point potential. Since the Nuggets’ first-round selection, I believe he s under staff control for three years. However, I believe there s some chance prior to the regular season is finished you could see him on the ground. No rush, though. The Nuggets are excited about his potential.
