Celtics guard Marcus Smart maintained a Nuggets fan advised him to “get after he slipped into seats following a loose ball during Friday night’s match at the Pepsi Center.
“My foot got stuck at a fan and also a seat explained, ‘That’s stay on the floor, get on your knees,’” Smart stated following the match.
The Nuggets won the match 96-92 after siphoned off a Celtics rally.
Subsequently, Smart voiced displeasure when requested about arena safety ’s response to the altercation during a postgame interview.

“I advised (safety ) who it was,” Smart said. “They simply looked at him t say anything , didn’t get him. If I had been a celebrity, they probably would have done something for this, but it’s what it really is. … We’re going to wind up protecting ourselves and it’s not going to be fairly for all those lovers and we all don’t want that.
“We overlook ’t want that as gamers, but at some stage you’ve made to stand up and you’ve got to protect yourself. ”
When contacted about the incident, the Nuggets said safety looked into it and couldn’t ascertain what happened.
For his role, Smart wasn’t buying it.
“If we (were) from the roads, it would be handled differently,” he said.
“Some of us got our children, their girlfriends, wives, parents like that … that there ’ s in this league to get this and that you talk. ”
