Why stop at one? Kenyon Martin believes the Denver Nuggets are deserving of three agents in the NBA All-Star Game following month in Charlotte.

“I don’t even know how many All-Stars they would get, but (among) men that take action, they probably might have three, four,” Martin, the Nuggets’ star power ahead and enforcer from 2004-11, stated in the Pepsi Center on Saturday night before his old club hooked up with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“But who knows? However, (are they) deserving of that? Yeah … theyrsquo;re acting nicely, can just get better. If they keep it together and men continue to improve and develop. You’t got men that haven’t perform Isaiah (Thomas) and Michael Porter. So just imagine. Then you add a number of that grade of talent to the mix, it can only get better. Men buy into just winning not ego, (it) can be fantastic. ”

The 41-year-old Martin stated he’d tap center Nikola Jokic and guards Jamal Murray along with Gary Harris for All-Star consideration.

“They perform a vital part, with exactly whatever they’ve already been performing,” explained Martin, who was honored in the Pepsi Center as part of their Nuggets’ string Skyline Night series. “The season ebbs and flows, but … they definitely deserve it. Can it happen? You never know. (With) voters … it’s just catchy. Coaches voting on it is catchy. It’s catchy, guy. You never know. ”

While Jokic brings a different style into the paint than Martin did during his salad days, the prior Nuggets big man said he believes the Serbian is ldquo;hard as nails, moves it nicely. He matches the prototypical big these days. ”

Martin was a member of the Trilogy staff that won the initial BIG3 basketball team in 2017; he’ll continue to be involved with the circuit in some ability, “I’m not enjoying (anymore) … sure men going down like Rashard Lewis ruptured his Achilles last year, Mike James fractures his knee cap.

“I’m not trying to rehab; I’ve ever already been there before. Like I was talking about (former first-round pick) Michael Porter in that locker room, just how theyrsquo;re supposed to rehab and things like that… and I was like, ‘I had two microfractures, I had my patella mended, and I kept playing for a reason. ’ But I’m not attempting to go through that (again),” Martin explained. “Again, basketball’s pretty easy. It’s rehab, that’s tough. You don’t even need to do that, but you have to. You’ve got to place that much longer in it. ”

Martin also, ahem, lamented the condition of protection in the NBA at current, calling it ldquo;terrible. ”

“Individually, team defense — like everybody would like to get the ball and go back quick. This ’s like a so-so effort. Doing radio and things today, simply paying attention to TV and radio, so paying attention to different analytics, I’m like, ‘Defensively, ohit’s pretty bad. ’ (It) makes me cringe. From somebody who needed to understand it was a learned behavior for me to give two points. Like me to concede two points, it was a learned behavior. I simply consider it (personally). If you score , I consider action (personally) … it’s competitive today. Only layup after layup, wide-open three after wide-open three, provides men time to find the seams.
