Could the Broncos be in the market for a defensive back in the 2020 NFL draft? ESPN’s Todd McShay thinks so.
From the ESPN analyst’s “way-too-early first-round projections,” McShay has the Broncos selecting LSU security Grant Delpit with the third overall selection.
“The Broncos — or any group, for that matter — would covet this kind of range in their backfield,” he writes. “The 6-3 playmaker had 74 tackles, five interceptions, nine passes broken up, five sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss in 2018. This ’s quite a résumé. And Justin Simmons is set to be a free agent following this season. ”
A couple other notes: Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa goes to the Dolphins with the No. 1 overall selection. Colorado Buffaloes star wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. is the No. 8 pick to the New York Giants.
