Karl will provide his thoughts on the team during the NBA restart and playoffs.
“I’m not sure there’s anyone in Denver more excited about basketball restarting than Coach Karl,” The Fan’s program director Raj Sharan said in a news release. “We’re thrilled to have Coach Karl appearing on all of our shows to give his opinion on what he’s seeing from the Nuggets, delivering the honesty that he’s known for.”
Karl, 69, coached the Nuggets from 2004-13, leading the team to a 423-257 record and a postseason berth in each of his nine seasons in Denver. His most successful season was 2008-09 when Denver advanced to the Western Conference Finals. He received the NBA coach of the year award in 2017 after guiding the Nuggets to a 57-25 record.
Karl spent 29 seasons with six different teams as a head coach in the NBA, totaling a 1,175-824 record in his career. His win total is sixth all-time in league history.
