As Altitude Sports’ impasse using the big three tv providers stretches toward two months, at least one solution has surfaced for fans expecting to see Nuggets and Avalanche games.
With the support of Coors Distributing Co. and Anheuser-Busch distributing, the regional sports network has reached a deal to present a feed into “hundreds” of Denver-area pubs and restaurants to officially reveal games for patrons, Altitude Sports President Matt Hutchings stated.
Is Blake Street Tavern in downtown Denver, which received cease-and-desist orders in the NHL and NBA earlier this week after showing a pirated Avalanche broadcast to clients on Monday.
“It’s unprecedented in case you think about it,” Hutchings said. “Coors Distributing Co. and A-B distributing don’t normally work collectively … but we were able to get it done and then we ’re likely to continue to attempt to come up with a long-term solution (for everybody ). ”
Stays off the air for Comcast, DirecTV and Dish Network clients, who haven’t had entry into the network with each provider lapsed in September. But hundreds of establishments are going to have access to this feed while executives with Altitude and the three providers continue negotiations.
Hutchings said Altitude stays despite creating efforts to achieve a solution.
“We’re still very disappointed,” he said. “We’re not getting some grip in our discussions. ”

Blake Street Tavern received cease-and-desist orders from the NHL and NBA on Thursday and Friday, respectively, although owner Chris Fuselier had yet to demonstrate some pirated Nuggets matches this season.
“I’m very thankful for Kroenke Sports and Altitude for working out a solution for some of us pubs,” Fuselier said. “We all understand that there are many methods to pirate the games, however I think that it ’s fantastic for us that you can get along with friends and now you’re able to visit a pub (to see the sport )… rather than just watching on your own laptop. ”
