The River North Arts District’s newest music venue, Mission Ballroom, this morning announced eight new acts joining its previously announced opening-weekend lineup, giving Coloradans a hint at the musical variety that AEG Presents will offer there.
Starting with Steve Miller Band on Aug. 13, the Mission will also host George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic’s “farewell tour” (Aug. 15); Australian psych-rockers King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard (Aug. 21); Brooklyn trio Highly Suspect (Aug. 24); U.K. dubstep manufacturer Flux Pavilion (Sept. 1); indie rock darlings The National and Alvvays (Sept. 6-7); singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers (Sept. 23); and singer-songwriter Marina (Diamandas, formerly of Marina and the Diamonds).
Tickets for all shows are on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. March 29. King Gizzard and Highly Suspect are tagged for the Mission Fair Ticketing System designation, a lottery which AEG Presents offers for specific shows that is meant to combat bots and third party re-sellers.

Guests can enter a reservation for the amount and degree of tickets desired at any time during the sales window (period), along with a credit card to be able to buy the tickets. ”
