Soon after releasing their first new music in five years, The Black Keys have declared an extensive North American tour.
The 31-date trek — called the Let’s Rock tour — is set to kick off with their headlining set in the Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas on Sept. 21 and will culminate Nov. 24 at Vancouver, Canada. Other cities include Chicago, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, and Austin (see below for the full list). Modest Mouse will serve as the support act on all of the dates, with Shannon & The Clams, *repeat repeat, and Jessy Wilson will open select shows on the tour.
Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 22, at 10 AM local time, but fans can register now through Sunday, March 17 at 10 p.m. EST for the Verified Fan presale, which starts Tuesday, March 22, at 10 a.m.
Last Thursday, guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney introduced the “Lo/Hi,” their first song since 2014’s Turn Blue.
In the intervening years the pair have kept busy working on a number of individual projects. Auerbach, 39, released his solo album Waiting on a Song in 2017, and founded the record label Easy Eye Sound. Carney, 38, created and recorded new music with artists including Tobias Jesso, Jr., Tennis, Wild Belle, Sad Planets, Calvin Johnson and Michelle Branch — with whom he shares son Rhys James, born to the couple in August.
