Review – Bob Seger Turns The Final Page On His Touring Career

Bob Seger chose his spot center stage in the Pepsi Center each night, and proved to the world that stone ‘n’roster will always be in style. The show was one of more than a dozen rescheduled stops on Seger’s “Travelin’ Man Tour. ” The excursion started more than a year ago but has been cut short when Seger suffered a ruptured disc a couple short weeks. Dubbed the “Runaway Train Tour, lovers — and ” 18, it had been rescheduled under the name.

Fans were still finding their seats if Seger’s opening act The Record Company wrapped up their place just after eight p.m. By the time Seger chose his spot center stage, it had been almost impossible to get an empty seat, although there were a couple of tickets for sale. Seger walked on the stage backed by his own Silver Bullet Band  — after the strikes started it seemed like they’d never cease.

Perhaps the night’s most exciting moment came during the encore. After 1 tune Seger decided to switch things up. “Listen group up ,” he declared. ” The group scrambled over the stage to receive placed for the set. “No one was prepared for this,” Seger admitted before announcing that he’d be playing a couple extra songs for his supporters from the Mile High.  The group kicked in and it was evident immediately that the tune Seger added was “Against The Wind. ” A tune that he has been criticized for leaving off the set in previous cities on the excursion.

After almost two hours rock ‘n’ roster, Seger finished his collection using “Rock & Roll Never Forgets. ” While it was a perfect song to end a decades-long profession in stone ‘n’roster, additionally, it voiced the truth of Seger’s career. The stone icon could be ending his own touring career, but his influence on rock as a genre is going to have a lasting effect. Seger’s career started more than 50 decades ago and at that time he has toured, topped Billboard charts and collaborated with rock legends.  And after viewing Seger choose the stage one final time it’s clear that Bob Seger is a title stone ‘n’ roster will never forget.
