As previously reported, every date will visit Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend joined on stage with a local symphony. Daltrey told Rolling Stone that the notion originated from his latest solo tour in which he plays The Who’s Tommy with the accompaniment of the orchestra. “I’ll be 75 years old in March and this feels like a dignified way to go and perform songs,” he commented. “That’s we’re left with. We’re mature guys today. We’ve dropped the looks. We’ve dropped the glamour. That which we’re left with is the songs and we’re going to exhibit it in a manner that’s as fresh and powerful as ever. ”
Along with the orchestra, Daltrey and Townshend is going to be joined on stage by guitarist/backup singer Simon Townshend, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button, and drummer Zak Starkey.
Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, January 18th via LiveNation. $1 of every ticket sold will benefit Teen Cancer America.
Tickets are also accessible on secondary markets such as StubHub.
