It looks as though it’s going for a year of nostalgic-ridden music here at the Mile High City. The Who — rock ‘n’ roll superstars — can soon probably come to Denver within their just-announced “Moving On! Tour. ” The legends will do at the Pepsi Center on September 29. In a further twist, the group will release their first album with new music in 13 decades.

In a media bundle released by Live Nation, Pete Townshend — lead guitarist and songwriter — was quoted saying:
“The Who are vacationing in 2019. Roger christened this excursion “Moving On! ” I really like it. It’s what both of us want to perform. Move on, with new songs, classic Who music, all done in fresh and exciting ways. Taking risks, nothing to lose. Looking forward to visiting you all. Are you prepared? ”
The Who will be backed up with a symphonic orchestra and are rounded out by essential Who gamers like guitarist/back-up vocalist Simon Townshend, keyboardist Loren Gold, bassist Jon Button and drummer Zak Starkey. Their integration of both old and new approaches is sure to amplify the excursions main objective — to keep the trademark sound while still operating to innovate.
As we all gear up for prime concert season here in Denver, our lineup is still looking quite promising. The Who’s incendiary storytelling is an ideal reflection of the days and the people living during it. The harmony between the material and the audience is sure to reflect and endeavor through the stage of the Pepsi Center come September.
Tickets are set to go on sale for the general public Thursday, January 24 at 10 a.m. on Live Nation along with Altitude Tickets.
