DENVER (KDVR) — Governor Jared Polis said Colorado has seen an uptick in COVID-19 cases in nine of the past 14 days and growth in hospitalizations for 11 of the past 14 days.
“Colorado needs to bear down,” he said.
Polis then expressed that he thinks we are past the halfway point in this pandemic citing advances in vaccine development and the participation of many Coloradans in the phase 3 trials.
“No amount of testing will prevent the need for the safety measures we need to take for the next few weeks and months to get through this,” Polis said.
He announced new testing sites around Denver as the Pepsi Center testing facility has closed:

He began the event by saying: “I want to express on behalf of Colorado our wishes for all those associated with the COVID breakout in the White House, to have a full recovery, including of course the president, his wife and all of those affected. And of course we also wish a speedy recovery for everyone affected by COVID across the world.”
