Dale Jarrett announces coronavirus diagnosis during TV show

NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Jarrett announced Tuesday he’s tested positive for COVID-19 and now is currently in quarantine.

The 63-year-old Jarrett broke the news during NASCAR’s Hall of Fame announcement, describing that’s why he didn’t return to NBCSN’s studio with another hosts.

The three-time Daytona 500 winner and 1999 Cup champion said the only symptom that he do well and that he had was a cough.

“I’ve been one of the very fortunate ones who my symptom has only been a slight cough throughout all this and it’s actually getting less and less every day, so I’m doing very, very well,” Jarrett explained. “All I can say is follow all of the guidelines stay as secure as you can and hopefully we all can get through this in the very close to future. ”
