The Strokes have formally announced the release of their new record. Entitled The New Abnormal, the band’s will arrive on April 10th via Cult/RCA Records.
The nine-track effort was recorded at Shangri-La Studios at Malibu and made by Rick Rubin, according to a media release. The album’s cover art is a painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat known as Bird on Money.
The first single is named “At the Door” and comes that’s from this ’80s. Writer/director Mike Burakoff presents a intergalactic space battle conjured up by a young boy seeking to escape his own harrowing reality. Watch it under.
The Strokes preceded this afternoon ’s announcement by premiering the above video, in addition to performing another brand new tune called “Bad Decisions”, through that a concert/campaign rally in support of Bernie Sanders at New Hampshire on Monday night.
