Review – Ariana Grande Came Through Like a Sweetener at the Pepsi Center

Hearing the name “Ariana Grande” automatically brings to mind pictures of high ponytails, sharp cat-eye eyeliner and oversize sweatshirts on top of thigh-high platform heels. Each these elements have been in no shortage among the crowds flowing to the Pepsi Center to see the icon herself take the stage through her “Sweetener Tour. ”

Before many enthusiasts can do this, it’therefore a crazy rush back to their own cars, rushing to place any purse, backpack or bag that isn’t clear plastic away. Instead, folks packed their possessions into gallon Ziploc bags handed out with security guards in the entrance. It’s long-lasting outcome and reminder of the Manchester bombing through Grande’s final world tour – one of the many tragedies and adversities she’s faced in the past couple of years. But with the release of 2 hit albums during that time, it’therefore evident she has every intention of keeping her soda queen crown to the foreseeable future.

Social House was the very first to start the night. The hip duo only played about a 15-minute group, but their energy was contagious. Over a couple of fans were exceptionally dancing along. Following a fast twist, Normani chose the stage, dressed in a sheer, sparkling bodysuit. She also brought the audience to their feet as she sang a Rihanna medley, then suppressed her Fifth Harmony days with a number of their various hits. Although she only played a half-hour-long group, she showcased her gift in a way that only increases the speculation that she can climb to a level of critical pop culture significance.

The night ended with her unapologetic smash strike, “Thank U, Next” and the audience knew every word.  The song was preceded by flashes of the many headlines she’therefore left in previous decades, Grande’s tweets, and individual photos. It’therefore the first time in the series there’s any direct correlation of the enormous star power Grande possesses. Her and her dancers ended the song parading round the catwalk waving rainbow pride flags in a party of the LGBTQ+ community. Confetti rained down on the audience and the audience was still buzzing when the lights came back up. Even though it was bittersweet to see the close of the series, it’therefore reasonable to state the journey took us everyone eager to see where she’ll take the next time round.
