Lady uses herself to chope parking spot at Tyrwhitt Road, doesn’t budge even as car honks at her

If you observe Malaysian parking information, you might have read about a clinic where drivers, or acquaintances of drivers, stand in a parking lot to reserve the space.

In fact, it got so bad that the Malaysian authorities had to denounce it.

On May 16, 2019, a movie on ROADS.sg showed a girl in Singapore holding a parking slot for a vehicle in frontas another car honked at her, presumably asking her to move.

The incident took place at Tyrwhitt Road, near Lavender Street.

It’s unclear what took place after the recording ended.

According to a LTA spokesman who spoke to Stomp in 2017 about using items to reserve parking spaces, there might be something which may be done about this.

“Under Section 32A of the Street Works Act, LTA is permitted to enforce against any person(s) for placing articles or things on public roads and five-footways, which may cause obstruction or obstruction to the passing of the general public. ”
